The Leaking Vault series of data breach research reports was first published in 2010 with five years of data breach incidents totaling 2,807 incidents and over 721.9 million records. Since then, with the publication of The Leaking Vault 2011, and the soon to be released The Leaking Vault 2012, the study now covers 5,939 incidents and over 1.2 billion known records disclosed.
The Leaking Vault 2012 is due out in December 2012.
